The dashboard shows no Rados Block Device Image statistics

Environment

SUSE Enterprise Storage 7
SUSE Enterprise Storage 6

Situation

When navigating to "Block > Images > Overall Performance" in the dashboard, no IO statistics are being shown.

Resolution

It is required to first specify the pools for which the statistics should be collected using:
 
ceph config set mgr mgr/prometheus/rbd_stats_pools "$ins_pool_name,$ins_pool_name,..."

Cause

Input Output statistics are not by default captured for any images on any pools, it is required to explicitly specify a pool or list of pools.
