Product Description
As an entry point to our new midrange systems line, the serial ATA (SATA)-based Hitachi Workgroup Modular Storage model 100 (WMS100) offers high capacity, easy-to-install data storage ideal for small and medium businesses (SMBs). The WMS100 provides the foundation for Services Oriented Storage Solutions, matching requirements for the cost-effective scalability and performance in a small footprint while maintaining the reliability edge provided by renowned Hitachi engineering. Example: Businesses deploying their first storage area network (SAN) are able to move from inefficient and costly server-internal or server-attached storage to a centralized, easy-to-manage configuration. Or those with fast-growing datacenter applications can quickly catch up and keep pace.

Serial/USB/VGA port(s): provided through KVM connector console breakout cable which supplies one RS232 serial port, one VGA port and two USB ports. System also has one integrated USB port.
SR-IOV/PCI Pass-through: Current system configuration does not support network SR-IOV or network PCI pass-through.
Install: System installed via network PXE UEFI boot; the OS was installed using the UEFI boot loader and system configuration. Hard disk configuration: JBOD. Xen Hypervisor: the hypervisor was booted with and requires the following additional load parameters: dom0_mem=6G dom0_max_vcpus=1 (parameters are required, values can be changed).
