Product Description
The FibreCAT TX24 is a member of the FibreCAT family of Storage products from FUJITSU TECHNOLOGY SOLUTIONS. The FibreCAT TX24 is an ultra compact tape library with up to 24 media slots and up to two tape drives in 2 U footprint. It offers storage capability for up to 19.2 TB (LTO-3, compressed) respectively 9.6 TB (LTO-2, compressed). If ordered with 12 slots, the remaining 12 slots can be activated easily via soft key license (instant upgrade). The FibreCAT TX24 will be connected to a host using SCSI or FibreChannel, depending on the model. The system features an import/export slot, a build-in barcode reader and is LTO-3 WORM-ready. Tested as a 2-node scalable partition with 8 Compute Books. Hard Disk Configuration: two separate RAID 1 units.
2) Install: System installed via network PXE UEFI boot; the OS was installed using the UEFI boot loader and system configuration.
VM Driver Pack: All guests were tested with PV drivers installed. The SLES drivers are included with the OS. The Windows 2012 R2 drivers are available from http://download.suse.com (VMDP-WIN-2.2.exe).
PCI Network Pass-Through: System was tested using PCI pass-through where one of the host network adapters was given to one of the SLES 12 guests. One of the Intel I350-T4 ML2 Quad Port GbE Adapter ports was used during this testing.
