Config Notes
- Install: System installed using an external USB DVD drive; the OS was installed from DVD using the UEFI boot loader and elilo system configuration.
- SUSE SolidDriver Compliant: The be2net network driver used during testing was installed from a kmp rpm contained on the following driver update disk (DUD): elx-be2net_10.0.727.54-be2iscsi_10.0.727.62-lpfc_10.0.727.20-sles11sp3-1.iso, kmp rpm file name: elx-be2net-kmp-xen-10.0.727.54_3.0.76_0.11-1.1.x86_64.rpm. This kmp rpm should be downloaded and installed after the SLES Xen install. To obtain the driver go to: http://drivers.suse.com/driver-process/pub/update/Emulex/sle11sp3/common/DUD/dud_lpfc_10.0.727.20_be2net_10.0.727.54_be2iscsi_10.0.727.62/ and extract from the iso image.
- Kdump: Crash kernel dump and capture does not function properly on this system due to the Emulex network adapter, and is therefore not supported.
- VM Driver Pack: All FV guests were tested with PV drivers installed. The SLES 11 SP3 drivers are included with the OS. The Windows 2012 R2 drivers are available from http://download.novell.com (VMDP-WIN-2.1.exe).
- Xen Hypervisor: the hypervisor was booted with following additional parameters: dom0_mem=10G dom0_max_vcpus=10.
- Maintenance update: SLES 11 SP3 Xen maintenance update 8588 and kernel update 8827 (x86-64) are required and were installed during certification testing.
