Product Description
The IBM SurePOS 4800-721 is an Entry model of the IBM SurePOS 700 (xx1 series) which is a point-of-sale (POS) system for retailers and grocers. It allows them to take advantage of the latest technology to improve the customer experience while streamlining operations and leveraging existing investments. Available in a range of flexible, rugged systems that can be customized for any environment, these solutions deliver the advanced performance and reliability retailers have come to expect from IBM. Config Notes
- Desktop Effects: Graphics driver/adapter does not support desktop effects.
- Power Management: System/Processor does not support dynamic CPU frequency scaling.
- Display: Compiz must be uninstalled before starting X.
- Power Management: S4 needs workarounds for it to work properly. (1) Open the file /etc/suspend.conf and edit the line : "#shutdown method = " to look like "shutdown method = shutdown" (2) Edit the file /etc/X11/xorg.conf, under section "Device", add the line : Option "NoAccel". (3) Reboot the system.
