Product Description
4800-F43 is a value model of the IBM SurePOS 700 series which offers a high degree of choice for I/O connectivity, with easy and low cost field upgrade options available for major system components. This model optimizes performance and value, offering attractive technology and benefits that make them flexible enough to run as a thin or thick client and powerful enough to last through the years. It can serve both as a SLEPOS server and client.

Config Notes

Install: System installed using an external USB DVD drive; the OS was installed from DVD using the UEFI boot loader and elilo system configuration
Hard disk configuration: JBOD
VM Driver Pack: All FV guests were tested with PV drivers installed. The SLES 11 SP3 drivers are included with the OS. The Windows 2012 drivers are available from http://download.novell.com (VMDP-WIN-2.1.exe).
Maintenance update: SLES 11 SP3 Xen maintenance update slessp3-xen-201310-8479 (bnc#836239) is required and was installed during certification testing.
SUSE Driver Kit: The ibm_x6-sle11sp3-x86_64 driver kit is SUSE SolidDriver Program compliant. The driver kit was installed during the SLES install process as an initial bootable iso image. This driver must be downloaded and installed before the SLES install. To obtain the driver go to: http://drivers.suse.com/ibm/IBM-X6/sle11-sp3/install-readme.html.
