Product Description The CX250 S1 dual socket server node combines high performance and attractive purchase costs with high energy efficiency while coming without any local fans or power supply units. Up to 16 high bandwidth memory modules provide a memory capacity of 512 GB per server node, with a broad choice of CPUs out of the latest range of the Intel® Xeon® processor E5-2600 family. Thus the CX250 S1 server easily plays its role as the standard two processor node for PRIMERGY CX400, enabling a great versatility to match even very ambitious server load profiles for scale-out Cloud and HPC computing. Its high density design (half-wide, 1U) does not compromise on external connectivity nor I/O bandwidth: In addition to two onboard 1 GbE ports, two new generation PCIe Gen3 I/O slots are provided, one for an internal x8 mezzanine card and the other for an x16 low profile PCI express card. Diverse options with low profile PCI-e cards. Local storage drives are physically located in the PRIMERGY CX400 enclosure. Depending on the chassis version, they are assigned to each CX250 S1 server node in blocks of up to six 2.5” drives (HDDs or SSDs, both SAS/SATA) or up to four 3.5” drives (SATA HDDs). Four SATA drives can flexibly be accessed via onboard controller with software RAID 0, 1 (six w/o RAID). For more drives, SAS drives or alternative RAID configurations, a SAS RAID Ctrl on the PCI-e mezzanine card with cache and optional BBU is used.
