Product Description
With it''s 64 DIMM slots and 10 PCIe2 slots, the Sun Server X2-4 (formerly Sun Fire X4470 M2) delivers the features needed to consolidate web application servers and collaboration tools, as well as batch processing and enterprise performance management workloads by having a large virtualization capacity, extreme I/O and network bandwidth, large memory footprint and integrated Sun Flash Modules.

Config Notes

Power management: Hibernation/Suspend to Disk/ACPI S4 is NOT supported on this system.
Power management: System/Processor does NOT support fan thermal scaling.
Graphics: Video driver used in testing was downloaded from http://www.hp.com/support/workstations. Video driver is not SolidDriver-compliant and requires installation of kernel source and development tools.
Kdump: the crash kernel reserved memory parameter was changed to 256 (crashkernel=512M-:256M) for kdump to function correctly.
System was tested with an Intel I210-T1 added as a second network adapter. The standard system configuration does not include the I210-T1 adapter.
