Product Description
The IBM® Flex System™ x240 M5 Compute Node is a high-performance server that offers new security, efficiency, and reliability features to handle business-critical workloads. The blade server is based on the Intel Xeon E5-2600 v3 processors with as many as 18 cores and uses new IBM TruDDR4 Memory running at speeds up to 2133 MHz

Config Notes

Install: System installed via network PXE UEFI boot; the OS was installed using the UEFI boot loader and system configuration. Hard Disk Configuration: JBOD
VM Driver Pack: All FV guests were tested with PV drivers installed. The SLES drivers are included with the OS. The Windows 2012 drivers are available from https://download.suse.com/ (VMDP-WIN-2.2.exe).
PCI Network Pass-Through: System was tested using PCI pass-through where a network adapter was given to the SLES 11 SP3 x86-64 guest. One of the embedded Emulex Corporation OneConnect 10Gb Ethernet Adapter adapters was used in this testing.
Serial/USB/VGA port(s): provided through KVM connector console breakout cable which supplies one RS232 serial port, one VGA port and two USB ports. The system also has one internal USB port.
Maintenance updates: The Linux Kernel 136 (patch SUSE-SLE-SERVER-12-2015-21) updates are required and were installed during certification testing.
