Config Notes
- Install: The SLES install was performed using a virtual DVD device.
- Kernel update: SLES11 SP3 kernel update 9237 (3.0.101-0.29 x86-64) is required and was installed during certification testing.
- This is a SAN boot only system.
- The maximum CPU cores or threads when hyper threading is enabled which can be allocated from LPAR is 240.
- The driver "htc-hfcldd" used during testing is SUSE SolidDriver Program compliant. The driver was installed from the driver update disk(DUD) "dud-htc-hfcldd-4.11.18.3130.iso" and the driver package htc-hfcldd-kmp-default-4.11.18.3130_3.0.76_0.11-1.sles11sp3.x86_64.rpm. To obtain DUD and the driver package, access to http://www.hitachi.co.jp/products/bladesymphony/download/driver/12346444.html. DUD can be used to install SUSE Linux Enterprise Server(SLES) to the SAN storage, and driver package can be installed after the SLES installation. The driver was forcibly loaded.
- The driver "ixgbevf" used during testing is SUSE SolidDriver Program compliant. The driver ixgbevf use Intel(R) 10GbE PCI Express Family of Server Adapters and the driver package name is "intel-ixgbevf-2.16.4-2.1.x86_64.rpm" and "intel-ixgbevf-kmp-default-2.16.4_3.0.76_0.11-2.1.x86_64.rpm".
