The BladeCenter® HS23 (7875, E5-2600) is a next-generation two-socket blade server running the Intel® Xeon® E5-2600 processor. With its industry-leading RAS features, energy efficiency, outstanding performance, flexible and scalable I/O, and complete systems management, HS23 offers a robust platform optimized for your mission-critical applications. Standard 30 mm single-wide form-factor protects your investments by providing compatibility with the Lenovo BladeCenter H, E, S, and HT chassis. BladeCenter HS23 offers four integrated LAN ports: dual-port Gigabit Ethernet and dual-port 10 Gb Ethernet with Lenovo Virtual Fabric capability.

Config Notes
- Install: System installed via network PXE UEFI boot; the OS was installed using the UEFI boot loader and system configuration. Hard Drive Configuration: RAID 0. Xen Hypervisor: the hypervisor was booted with following additional parameters: dom0_mem=10G dom0_max_vcpus=4.
- Kdump: the crash kernel reserved memory parameters were increased from the default to "crashkernel=144M,high crashkernel=112M,low" using YaST.
- VM Driver Pack: All guests were tested with PV drivers installed. The SLES drivers are included with the OS. The Windows 2012 R2 drivers are available from https://download.suse.com/ (VMDP-WIN-2.3.exe).
- PCI Network Pass-Through: System was tested using PCI pass-through where one of the host network adapters was given to one of the SLES 12 guests. The Emulex BE3 dual-port Gigabit Ethernet adapter was used for this testing.
