Config Notes
- Kdump (SLE12SP3): the crash kernel reserved memory parameters were increased from the default to crashkernel=173M,high crashkernel=122M,low using YaST.
- Install: System installed via network PXE UEFI boot; the OS was installed using the UEFI boot loader and system configuration. Hard disk configuration: JBOD. System was scaled up to 8-sockets by joining four x880 X6 with 8S scalability connector. Xen Hypervisor: the hypervisor was booted with and requires the following additional load parameters: dom0_mem=8G dom0_max_vcpus=8 (parameter values can be changed).
- Serial/USB/VGA port(s): provided through KVM connector console breakout cable which supplies one RS232 serial port, one VGA port and two USB ports (each node also has an internal USB port).
- SR-IOV/PCI Pass-through: Current system configuration does not support network SR-IOV or network PCI pass-through.
- VM Driver Pack: All guests were tested with PV drivers installed. The SLES drivers are included with the OS. The Windows Server 2016 drivers are available from http://download.suse.com (VMDP-WIN-2.4.exe).
