Product Description
The SGI® Rackable™ C2112-4KL1 delivers a dense and flexible computing platform optimized for high performance computing applications, providing up to 272 cores, 1.5 TB of memory, and 96TB of storage capacity in a compact 2U form factor to create best solutions for accelerating data-intensive computations, like deep learning, life sciences or weather simulation.

Config Notes

Integrated network: only two of the four ethernet adapters/ports on the I350-AM4 quad-port network controller are enabled on this system.
Install: System installed using external USB connected DVD drive; the OS was installed using the UEFI boot loader and system configuration.
PCI Network Pass-Through: System was tested using PCI pass-through where the network adapter was given to the SLES 11 SP2 x86-64 guest. One of the embedded Intel® Ethernet Controller I350-AM4 adapters was used in this testing.
VM Driver Pack: All guests were tested with PV drivers installed. The SLES 11 SP2 drivers are included with the OS. The Windows 2008 drivers are available from http://download.novell.com (VMDP-WIN-2.0.exe), and the virtio network drivers were used during testing.
