Config Notes
- Serial/USB/VGA port(s): provided through KVM connector console breakout cable which supplies one RS232 serial port, one VGA port and two USB ports. The system also has one integrated USB port.
- Install: System installed via network PXE UEFI boot; the OS was installed using the UEFI boot loader and system configuration. Hard Disk Configuration: separate RAID 0 drives.
- Kdump (SLE12SP2): the crash kernel reserved memory parameters were increased from the default to crashkernel=169M,high crashkernel=122M,low using YaST.
- VM Driver Pack: All guests were tested with PV drivers installed. The SLES drivers are included with the OS. The Windows Server 2016 drivers are available from http://download.suse.com (VMDP-WIN-2.4.exe), the virtio network drivers were used during testing.
- PCI Network Pass-Through: System was tested using PCI pass-through where one of the host network adapters was given to one of the SLES 12 SP2 guests. One of the IBM Embedded Dual-Port 10GB Virtual Fabric Ethernet LOM adapters was used during this testing.
