The System x® iDataPlex® dx360 M4 compute node is designed to optimize density and performance within typical data center infrastructure limits. The unique half-depth form factor is designed to help you improve compute disity in your space-constrained date center while also improving system cooling and energy efficiency. With more computing power per watt and the latest Intel Xeon processors including the Intel Xeon E5-2600, you can reduce costs while maintaining speed and availability.

Config Notes

Install: System installed via network PXE UEFI boot; the OS was installed using the UEFI boot loader and system configuration. Xen Hypervisor: the hypervisor is required to be booted with following additional parameters: dom0_mem=8G dom0_max_vcpus=2.
Kdump (SLE12SP3): the crash kernel reserved memory parameters were increased from the default to crashkernel=159M,high crashkernel=112M,low using YaST.
SR-IOV: System was tested using SR-IOV where a virtual network adapter was given to a SLES 12 SP3 FV guest. One of the integrated Ethernet Controller I350-AM2 adapters was used in this testing.
