Product Description
The Lenovo Flex System x240 M5 Compute Node is a high-performance server that offers enhanced security, efficiency, and reliability features to handle business-critical workloads. The blade server incorporates up to two Intel Xeon E5-2600 v3 processors. The processors feature advanced multi-core and use new lightning-fast Lenovo TruDDR4 memory, which runs at speeds up to 2400 MHz. Suggested uses: database, virtualization, enterprise applications, collaboration and email, streaming media, Web, HPC, and cloud applications.

Config Notes
- Serial/USB/VGA port(s): provided through KVM connector console breakout cable which supplies one RS232 serial port, one VGA port and two USB ports. The system also has one internal USB port.
- Install: System installed via network PXE UEFI boot; the OS was installed using the UEFI boot loader and system configuration. Hard Disk Configuration: single disk JBOD. Xen Hypervisor: the hypervisor was booted with following additional parameters: dom0_mem=16G dom0_max_vcpus=8.
- SR-IOV: System was tested using SR-IOV where a virtual network adapter was given to a SLES 12 FV guest. One of the integrated CN4052 10Gb Virtual Fabric adapters was used in this testing.
- Kdump (SLE12SP3): the crash kernel reserved memory parameters were increased from the default to crashkernel=219M,high crashkernel=162M,low using YaST.
