- Maintenance update: SLED 11 SP2 maintenance kernel (3.0.34-0.7.9) is required to properly detect floppy drive medium. The maintenance kernel rpms can be downloaded from http://download.novell.com/Download?buildid=S5dXSxMK3jQ
- Floppy disks used on this system must be manually mounted. To do this, perform the following steps first: a) run "mknod /lib/udev/devices/fd0 b 2 0" b) add "/dev/fd0 /media/floppy auto noauto,users,rw 0 0" to /etc/fstab, c) run command "mkdir /media/floppy", d) reboot. Thereafter, whenever a floppy is inserted, run command "mount /dev/fd0" to mount the floppy drive.
