Product Description
The ClearPath Forward™ fabric delivers the cost effective power, scalability, predictable performance, and security to support mission-critical applications running on SUSE Linux operating systems. ClearPath Forward fabric blends industry standard fabric technology with decades of mission critical expertise to deliver mission critical architecture on Intel X86. The ClearPath Forward™ Release 4.1 (PEPP) 2-Socket platform is applicable to all Unisys ClearPath Forward models, including ClearPath Forward, ClearPath Forward Libra 4380, 4390, 6380, 6390, 8380, & 8390 as well as ClearPath Forward Dorado 4350, 4370, 4380, 4390, 6380, 6390, 8380, 8390, and ES3000 3560R G6.

Config Notes

Install: System installed via network PXE UEFI boot; the OS was installed using the UEFI boot loader and system configuration. Hard Drive Configuration: RAID 5 w/hot swap drive.
Kdump: the crash kernel reserved memory parameters were increased from the default to "crashkernel=119M,high crashkernel=122M,low" using YaST.
VM Driver Pack: All guests were tested with PV drivers installed. The SLES drivers are included with the OS. The Windows 2012 R2 drivers are available from https://download.suse.com/ (VMDP-WIN-2.3.exe).
PCI Network Pass-Through: System was tested using PCI pass-through where one of the host network adapters was given to the one of the SLES 12 guests. The IBM x3750 M4 Dual port 10 GB SFP+ Ethernet adapter was used for this testing.
