Product Description
The ClearPath Forward™ fabric delivers the cost effective power, scalability, predictable performance, and security to support mission-critical applications running on SUSE Linux operating systems. ClearPath Forward fabric blends industry standard fabric technology with decades of mission critical expertise to deliver mission critical architecture on Intel X86. The ClearPath Forward™ Release 4.1 (PEPP) 2-Socket platform is applicable to all Unisys ClearPath Forward models, including ClearPath Forward, ClearPath Forward Libra 4380, 4390, 6380, 6390, 8380, & 8390 as well as ClearPath Forward Dorado 4350, 4370, 4380, 4390, 6380, 6390, 8380, 8390, and ES3000 3560R G5.

Config Notes
- Install: System installed via network PXE UEFI boot; the OS was installed using the UEFI boot loader and system configuration. Tested as a 2-node scalable partition with 8 Compute Books. Hard disk configuration: separate RAID 0. Xen Hypervisor: the hypervisor was booted with following additional parameters: dom0_mem=12G dom0_max_vcpus=8.
- Kdump: the crash kernel reserved memory parameters were increased from the default to "crashkernel=210M,high crashkernel=162M,low" using YaST.
- VM Driver Pack: All guests were tested with PV drivers installed. The SLES drivers are included with the OS. The Windows 2012 R2 drivers are available from http://download.suse.com (VMDP-WIN-2.3.exe).
- SR-IOV: System was tested using SR-IOV where a virtual network adapter was given to the SLES 12 FV guest. One of the Intel X540 ML2 Dual Port 10GbaseT adapters was used in this testing.
