Config Notes
- Install: System installed via network PXE UEFI boot; the OS was installed using the UEFI boot loader and system configuration. Hard Disk Configuration: JBOD.
- System was scaled up to 4-socket by joining two x880 X6 with 4S scalability connector. Serial/USB/VGA port(s): provided through KVM connector console breakout cable which supplies one RS232 serial port, one VGA port and two USB ports.
- Kdump: the crash kernel reserved memory parameter was changed to crashkernel=251M,high crashkernel=172M,low for kdump to function correctly.
- SR-IOV: System was tested using SR-IOV where a virtual network adapter was given to the SLES 12 FV guest. One of the integrated Lenovo Embedded Four-Port 10GB Virtual Fabric Ethernet LOM adapters was used in this testing.
- VM Driver Pack: All guests were tested with PV drivers installed. The SLES drivers are included with the OS. The Windows Server 2016 drivers are available from http://download.suse.com (VMDP-WIN-2.4.exe).
