SUSE® today announced availability of the SUSECon 2015 program and session catalog. Sessions during SUSE's global end-user conference, to be held Nov. 2-6 in Amsterdam, showcase the latest innovations in open source and Linux technologies. Big data, software-defined storage, cloud computing, zero downtime, data center standardization, Docker and containers, and SAP on Linux are among the topics geared to the needs of enterprise customers at SUSECon.
"SUSECon in Amsterdam is the information hub for our customers, partners and community enthusiasts to exchange ideas and share experiences," said Rich Wiltbank, head of customer enablement for SUSE. "With the theme 'always open,' SUSECon provides training on the latest solutions based on Linux, OpenStack and Ceph, informative keynotes, and demos showcasing leading SUSE and partner open source solutions. The modern enterprise customer will learn first-hand how to optimize the data center and embrace new technologies while maintaining control over growth and costs."
The SUSECon 2015 session catalog includes more than 120 hands-on, tutorial, case study, future outlook and business overview sessions that dive deeply into technology and the future of data center innovation. Session highlights include:
- "OpenStack & Ceph, an Update of Enterprise Use-Cases at BMW"—BMW will give an update on last year's technology evaluation with their newest findings in a production environment.
- "Real-time Data Analysis with Hadoop and SAP HANA"—This session explains the business benefits and technical architecture aspects of integrating two market-leading, best-of-breed big data solutions.
- "Hands on with SUSE Enterprise Storage"—Attendees will explore the new features of SUSE Enterprise Storage and learn how to deploy a storage cluster.
- "Software Defined Everything - Management, Cloud, Containers and Storage"—The evolution of the data center continues. Attendees will learn of the latest advances in data center virtualization and the management tools needed to deploy, monitor and maintain an increasingly complex environment.
Eight partner and customer awards will be presented at SUSECon to organizations who have best implemented a SUSE solution to control IT infrastructure, optimize IT resources and innovate their IT environment.
