tightvnc inserts \ or , character when pressing ALT+GR + <

Environment

SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11 Service Pack 1
SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 10 Service Pack 3
SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 10 Service Pack 2
SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop 10 Service Pack 3
SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop 10 Service Pack 2
 

Situation

When accessing a VNC display running on SLE10SP2 or SLE10SP3 based system from SLES11SP1, "\" or "," characters get displayed while pressing ALT+GR + < to create a | (pipe) sign. This issue is not experienced if the VNC server is a SLES11SP1 host.

Resolution

Please update to tightvnc-1.3.9-81.13.1 or later.
