This document (7012126) is provided subject to the disclaimer at the end of this document.
Environment
SUSE Linux Enterprise High Availability Extension 11 Service Pack 1
SUSE Linux Enterprise High Availability Extension 11 Service Pack 2
Situation
ERROR: cib_diskwrite_complete: Disabling disk writes after write failure
in the logfiles. This indicates that the cluster information base is not written to disk anymore. This in turn will result in no up to date cib in case of a restart of this node.
This situation is local on one node.
Resolution
kill -s SIGPIPE <pid-of-cib>on this node this write can be activated again.
Please keep in mind that the reason why the write was disabled is not removed by this. So this is a temporary workaround until the reason for the failed write is found and resolved.
