libvir: Xen Daemon error : GET operation failed

Environment

SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 10 Support Pack 2

Situation

After restarting xend service or stopping and starting a virtual machine, Virtual Machine Manager can not connect anymore.
Using xm list command, the below error appears:
libvir: Xen Daemon error : GET operation failed

Resolution

Make sure the host machine has a minimum of 2 VCPUs or more available.
