IBM java idlj reports type is wchar instead char

SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 12 SP5

Situation

Executing idlj reports type is wchar instead char:

/usr/lib64/jvm/java-1.8.0-ibm-1.8.0/bin/idlj -corba 2.4 HdmsDataBag_char.idl
HdmsDataBag_char.idl (line 16):  The type of the constant expression is wchar, but it should be char.
case Def_ValueTypeString:    string         valString;

Resolution

Fixed with maintenance update SLE15 "SUSE-SU-2023:4572-1" and SLE12SP5 "SUSE-SU-2023:4614-1"

Cause

Incorrect handling of wchar.
