LDAP-Client configuration, missing menu in YaST (NCurses)

This document (000020408) is provided subject to the disclaimer at the end of this document.

Environment

SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 15 SP3

Situation

After fresh installation of a server with Basesystem Module and Server Applications Module, it is not possible to setup an LDAP client through YaST (NCurses) due to missing menu entry "Network Services > LDAP and Kerberos"
Setting up a "Generic directory service (LDAP)" through the "Network Services > User Logon" menu is not possible as well, since this menu is not available either.

Resolution

Both menus, "LDAP and Kerberos"and "User Logon" are provided with the yast2-auth-client.

Install the package with: zypper install yast2-auth-client

After installing yast2-auth-client both menus are available.
Which makes setting up the LDAP Client through YaST (NCurses) possible.
