Enable Shift-PrintScreen for screen shots in KDE

This document (7001360) is provided subject to the disclaimer at the end of this document.

Environment

SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop (SLED) or Server (SLES) or openSUSE using KDE as the desktop.

Situation

A screen shot should be taken when Shift-PrintScreen is pressed.

Resolution

From the Main Menu select Personal Settings.  In the Personal Settings application select Regional & Accessibility-->Keyboard Shortcuts.

Select the Command Shortcuts tab at the very top and on that screen expand Tools-->Desktop then double-click  Ksnapshot and assign it Shift-PrintScreen.

Now when pressing Shift-PrintScreen the application Ksnapshot will come up with a print screen of the full desktop.  You can also use Ksnapshot to capture a single window rather than the entire desktop.
