Can't get Linux core file because of conflicting modules
This document (7003091) is provided subject to the disclaimer at the end of this document.
Environment
SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 10
SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 9
SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 8
Situation
Resolution
For SLE 9 and below, lkcd is the required method.
If both are installed in either system, or the wrong one is installed on a specified system, you will not be able to get the core file.
For best results, make sure that you are running the latest version of kdump or lkcd utils for your appropriate OS version.
