Cron running jobs that are set under cron.daily twice

Environment

SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 10 Service Pack 3

Situation

SLES10.3 has a bug in cron where depending of the date specified it
will run the job twice when set under cron.daily.

Customer has set the variable DAILY_TIME="00:15" in /etc/sysconfig/cron.
According to the documentation this should execute cron.daily at 00:15.

But the customer noticed that now cron daily was run twice, on 00:00 and 00:15

Resolution

This issue has been reported to development and fix has been made.
cron-4.1-45.36.1 for SLES 10 SP4 has the fix.
