Web and Scripting Add-on Module not available

This document (7018678) is provided subject to the disclaimer at the end of this document.

Environment

SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 12 Service Pack 1 (SLES 12 SP1)

Situation

With a fully patched SLES 12 SP1 without a GUI (graphical user interface) the "Web and Scripting Module" is not available from the list of addons in YAST.

Resolution

There is a mass PTF (Problem Temporary Fix) available from engineering:

https://ptf.suse.com/f2cf38b50ed714a8409693060195b235/sles12-sp1/12498/x86_64/20170228-1

In case installing the PTF is not an option there is a workaround available until an official patch has been released via executing:

SUSEConnect -p sle-module-web-scripting/12/x86_64/

Cause

The original dialog designed for the available addons was to small in size as the number of addons have grown since SLES 12 has been released.

Additional Information

A final solution for this issue will be provided by a regular update/patch.
