OpenATTIC dashboard is empty and no ceph cluster found

This document (7019887) is provided subject to the disclaimer at the end of this document.

Environment

SUSE Enterprise Storage 4

Situation

After installing openATTIC on a node in the cluster, the dashboard is empty.
You can login but it states no ceph cluster was found.

/var/log/openattic/openattic.log
INFO - ceph.librados#_find - Skipping /etc/ceph/ceph.client.admin.keyring, permission denied
ERROR - ceph.librados#__init__ - No usable keyring

Resolution

Need to change ownership and permissions of the ceph.client.admin.keyring and ceph.conf files on the node in which you installed openATTIC.
# chgrp openattic /etc/ceph/ceph.conf /etc/ceph/ceph.client.admin.keyring
# chmod g+r /etc/ceph/ceph.conf /etc/ceph/ceph.client.admin.keyring

Reference Docs:

Cause

After running the "oaconfig install" the openattic user is setup but the permissions for these files are not modified.   This is a manual process.

Additional Information

If this node does not contain the /etc/ceph/ceph.client.admin.keyring file, you can manually copy this from another node or use the following command to deploy this key to the current node.
#ceph-deploy admin <nodename>
