Systemd agetty reporting "cannot open as standard input"

SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 12 SP3
SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 12 SP4
SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 12 SP5
Situation
Resolution
/etc/systemd/system/getty.target.wants: lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 38 Aug 30 2018 getty@.service -> /usr/lib/systemd/system/getty@.service
Once the above file is removed reboot the system or run:
systemctl stop getty@getty.service
Cause
agetty[18883]: /dev/getty: cannot open as standard input: No such file or directory agetty[18885]: /dev/getty: cannot open as standard input: No such file or directory agetty[18893]: /dev/getty: cannot open as standard input: No such file or directory agetty[18896]: /dev/getty: cannot open as standard input: No such file or directory agetty[18898]: /dev/getty: cannot open as standard input: No such file or directory agetty[18904]: /dev/getty: cannot open as standard input: No such file or directory
