Manager service fails to start with an "-1 auth: unable to find a keyring" error

Environment

SUSE Enterprise Storage 6

Situation

When attempting to start the Ceph manager service this fails with:
 
-1 auth: unable to find a keyring on /var/lib/ceph/mgr/ceph-$(hostname)/keyring: (2) No such file or directory

Resolution

From the DeepSea node, execute the following command to have the key for the manager re-copied to the relevant manager server:
 
salt "<insert_relevant_mgr_minion>" state.apply ceph.mgr.keyring

Cause

The key ring file for the Manager Service is not present (anymore) on the host.
