Registration to SCC does not work from a pure IPv6 Network

Environment

SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 15
SUSE Linux Enterprise Server for SAP Applications 15
SUSE Linux Desktop 15
SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 12
SUSE Linux Enterprise Server for SAP Applications 12

Situation

The System needs to be registered to SUSE Customer Center (SCC) from a pure IPv6 Network (no IPv4 Address available) .
The registration fails with the Error:

scc.suse.com:443 Connection refused

 

Resolution

Currently an IPv4 Address is mandatory for Registration to SCC.
This issue has been reported to our Internal IT.

Cause

scc.suse.com does not resolve DNS Requests from IPv6 Addresses.

Status

Reported to Engineering
