SUSE Multi-Linux Manager upgrade fails with Internal Server Error on top of AWS EC2

Environment

SUSE Multi-Linux Manager 5.0 Server


Situation

SUSE Multi-Linux Manager Server upgrade fails with following error message:

Error: initializing source docker://registry-ec2.susecloud.net/suse/manager/5.0/x86_64/server:5.0.3: Requesting bearer token: 
invalid status code from registry 500 (Internal Server Error)

Error: exit status 125

Resolution

Make sure that following packages (current version) are properly installed on top of the SUSE Linux Micro host system:

suse-manager-5.0-x86_64-server-migration-14-16-image-5.0.3-7.9.7.x86_64 
suse-manager-5.0-x86_64-server-image-5.0.3-7.14.1.x86_64
suse-manager-5.0-x86_64-server-hub-xmlrpc-api-image-5.0.3-6.9.5.x86_64
suse-manager-5.0-x86_64-server-attestation-image-5.0.3-6.9.10.x86_64

 

Cause

Packages that are vital for the SUSE Multi-Linux Manager Server upgrade are missing on the SUSE Linux Micro host system.
