config.sh hangs while gathering Environment information on 64 bit SLES 9

Environment

SuSE Linux Enterprise Server 9 (SLES 9)
Kernel version 2.6.5-7.276-smp for x86_64 bit architecture

Situation

When the config.sh is run, it stops on 'Environment...' The script is running 'sysctl -a' which hangs. Manually executing'sysctl -a' shows 'net.core.wmem_max' as the last output.

Resolution

This problem is fixed in kernel versions 2.6.5-7.282-smp and above.
