XEN: Migration fails for 32bit DomU's on 64-bit Hypervisor

Environment

SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 10 Service Pack 1

Situation

Migration from one 64bit Xen host to another fails.

Resolution

SLES 10 SP1 uses Xen 3.04, which does not support migration of 32-bit DomU's between 64-bit hypervisors. As such, migrations are expected to fail.

In order to do a migration, you will have to shut down the DomU and reload it on the other hypervisor. At this time there is no work around, however it is expected that SLES 10 SP2 will support 32-bit DomU migration between 64-bit hypervisors.
