Openssh is unable to connect to HP ILO board with 1.94 firmware

SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11 Service Pack 1

Situation

Unable to connect to HP ILO board with firmware version 1.94, when using openssh 5.1p1-41.31.36.

The following message is displayed:

debug2: channel 0: open confirm rwindow 1048576 rmax 2048 Received

disconnect from <server ip>: Client Disconnect

Resolution

This issue is only seen on SLES11-SP1 with openssh version 5.1p1-41.31.36. You can workaround this issue by doing either of the following:

Downgrade to an earlier version of openssh.
Downgrade the firmware on the HP ILO board to any version earlier than 1.94.
