Support status of available SLE11SP3 online repos

This document (7011869) is provided subject to the disclaimer at the end of this document.

Environment

SUSE Manager 1.2
SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11
SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 10
SUSE Studio 1.0

Situation

Update or software management solutions such as Subscription Management Tool, SUSE Manager, SUSE Studio show the availability of SLE11SP3 catalogs.

Resolution

Cause

Please be advised SLE11SP3 is currently in Beta test. Unless you are participating in the authorized beta program these catalogs should not be synchronized to a SMT staging server or production systems. Disabling these channels will avoid patching production systems by accident until Service Pack 3 has been officially released.

Please do not install any SLE11SP3 updates before the official release as this will invalidate the systems support status.

General availability of SLES11SP3 will be announced on the SUSE website and other communication channels and is planned for beginning of second half of 2013 (H2 2013).
