BUG: soft lockup and scale_rt_power: clock: messages

Environment

SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11 Service Pack 2 (SLES 11 SP2)
SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11 Service Pack 3 (SLES 11 SP3)

Situation

The /var/log/messages file includes lines like these:

Resolution

This bug has been fixed in kernel 3.0.101-0.7.15.1 on SLES 11 SP2 and 3.0.101-0.15.1 on SLES 11 sp3.  However, it is advised to update to the the most recently released kernel. 

Cause

A softlockup was being caused in the shrink_dcache_for_umount_subtree.
