rancher-monitoring installation on rke2 cluster stuck

Situation

The installation of rancher-monitoring is stuck as the pushprox-ingress-nginx-client pod is in a pending state

Resolution

This happened when the rke2-ingress-nginx was not installed, and another ingress controller was selected instead.

Cause

The workaround is to remove the affinity below by editing the rancher-monitoring install YAML

    affinity:
      podAffinity:
        requiredDuringSchedulingIgnoredDuringExecution:
          - labelSelector:
              matchExpressions:
                - key: app.kubernetes.io/component
                  operator: In
                  values:
                    - controller
            namespaces:
              - kube-system
            topologyKey: kubernetes.io/hostname
