Environment

SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11 Service Pack 1

Situation

Randomly the qla2xxx module reports in /var/log/messages:

Apr 21 15:51:17 linux Had[73715]: VCS WARNING V-16-1-51100 HAD Self Check: Excessive delay in the HAD heartbeat to GAB (10 seconds)

this cause multipath to fail on all paths.

Resolution

Please update to kernel 2.6.32.45-0.3.1 or later.

Cause

Problems with MSI/MSI-X handling of the driver.
