AutoYaST ignores "Create home directory on login" settings in YaST2 LDAP client

This document (7006341) is provided subject to the disclaimer at the end of this document.

Environment

SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11 SP1
SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11

Situation

When cloning a system that was setup as LDAP client using AutoYaST the "Create home directory on login" setting in the YaST2 LDAP client module is not reflected in the XML file. Users on systems installed with this AutoYaST configuration will not get their home directory created on first login.

Resolution

Please update yast2-ldap-client to version 2.17.22-0.2.1.18 or higher. Please note that this packages needs to get installed on the AutoYaST server as well on the client. The most convenient way to include this update during the installation is via an online update from a local SMT server.
