The migration of alertmanager returns an "No such file or directory" error

This document (000020594) is provided subject to the disclaimer at the end of this document.

Environment

SUSE Enterprise Storage 7

Situation

Following the documentation to upgrade and adopt the monitoring stack as part of upgrading to SUSE Enterprise Storage 7 (SES 7) the following error is returned:

/etc/alertmanager
stat: stderr stat: cannot stat '/etc/alertmanager': No such file or directory

Resolution

The error is cosmetic and can be ignored.

Cause

Since containers may have different places for configuration files, the error is due to cephadm checking for multiple paths for the alertmanager configuration file.
